TV shooting with rbb Abendschau at DSTRCT project
At the end of May we hosted Ulli Zelle from rbb Abendschau on our premises. The TV team was interested to see and film the progress of construction, the history and the concept of our project.
At the beginning, our site manager Oliver Vietzke led the participants over the ramp of the future bicycle garage into the basement of the new office building, which will offer space for about 800 bicycles after completion. Such a special access and space for bicycle commuters, and especially in terms of size and equipment, will probably not be found anywhere else in Berlin.
The basement also contains a large event area that can also serve as a community and meeting place. With direct access to the underground garden, the future tenant will have the feeling of both openness and at the same time peace and quiet in a protected oasis. Our architect Georg Gewers (Gewers Pudewill architects) explained these and other special features.
All visitors are also particularly interested in the renovation of the old slaughterhouse halls. With their charm and interesting history they tell of times long past and are now to become part of the modern project. In close cooperation with the monument protection authorities, we are renovating the halls with great attention to detail and transforming them into unique working environments.
In the end we can be happy about a great contribution to the rbb Abendschau. You can enjoy it here in full length:
